Good Bye First Grade... Hello Second Grade!

"Be strong and courageous...for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."  Deuteronomy 31:6

This will be my last blog of this school year. Thank you for the gift of your children this year.  It has truly been a blessed year.  I am truly honored to have been your child's teacher.  We learned so much this year... together we grew into a special little community.  I will always cherish the smiles and laughs that we have all shared this year.  Your children are going to make such a difference in this world... and I am truly grateful that I was a part of it! 

To my students...always remember how much God loves you and let him guide your path...

Each child received a special butterfly award. 

By successfully raising butterflies from caterpillars as your gift to the Earth, you've demonstrated love and caring for God's creation.  Thank you for taking action to help nurture, and protect, our world.  May God bless them and take care of them now.  :)

(We had a few tears when we let our butterflies go but everyone knew it was time to release them back into God's beautiful world.  The butterflies stayed with us for a time and then took flight... it was truly beautiful!)
